For many years I have been living in a bubble and living through the lens of the television screen; exactly where I didn't see myself in 1970. I think of the founder of Homeboy Industries in LA, Fr. Gregory Boyle who speaks and writes of Radical Kinship. We are ALL connected and worthy of love and respect. We cannot change if we don't see the problem and see a way to be part of a solution. The Covid-19 Pandemic has been teaching us of logistics how fragile our economy and well-being is threatened when radically disrupted by a virus. We have been asked to be part of a solution to eradicate this disease. It has been a study in social behavior. Why did we run out of toilet paper. It is now time to change our energy to change wrongs into rights and selfishly we ALL benefit. If we don't want to die as a species we must be radical with our love for one another of any color and stop treating others like animals. How do we want the "new normal" to look like? Breathing.....hmmm....breathing.....deep breath breathe. Let's do our part to flatten the curve of injustice in our country and shine the light on the hate mongers that stir up the disease of complacency.
